Thanks for posting your query. I am happy to address your questions. Protera-I contains pantoprazole and itopride. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by decreasing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Side effects when using pantoprazole are diarrhea; headache; nausea; stomach pain; vomiting. Itopride (HCl) is primarily a prokintetic which is indicated in conditions like dyspepsia, gastro-esophageal reflux disease, nausea and vomiting. Itopride are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include dizziness, headache, diarrhea, constipation, redness, tremor, thrombocytopenia. Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be happy to help. Thanks
