Frequent Coming And Going Of Diarrhea, No Fever, Vomiting. How To Treat It?
Hello, my husband and I both came down with diarrhea about two weeks ago and it is still coming and going. We seem to be fine for a couple or more days and bingo, it hits us again! It only last for a couple of hours and then goes away. No fever, no vomiting, we feel fine, eat well, etc. Have never had this type of diarrhea before and since it hit both my husband and I at the same time and both of us still experiencing the same symptoms, we are stumped as to what it is or how to treat it. Thanks for any advice.
As you both are experiencing diarrhea with no fever and no vomiting, it might be related to a source of infection related to:
- water you drink - foods you eat - new places you visited recently
So, keep an eye to the recently introduced foods or juices sources.
I'd advise to:
- take tasectan when you have diarrhea episode - take probiotic and o.r.s - drink plenty of water
If no improvement within 2 weeks, then, I'd suggest to consult a physician and run the following tests: - examination of feces for ova/parasites - culture of feces (for bacteria) - abdominal ultrasound
Hope it helped! Dr.Klerida
