Frequent Sore Throats, Feeling Feverish, Pain In The Arm, Shortness Of Breath. Need Help

Hello!
so I'm 17 years old, for as long as I can remember I get sore throats very often. So far once a month for about a week+. Sometimes they get really bad, and sometimes they are normal. My usual doctor says that there's nothing wrong and that it's normal for people to get this alot. But I just wanted to check to make sure, because I'm so tired of always being sick.
Anyways, today the symptoms feel more severe. As in I feel extremely hot, but my body is actually freezing. My throat has been throbbing and hurting for hours, on my right arm there's alot of pain, and I'm quite short of breath. And all this is keeping me up...

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
Getting throat infection again and again could be because of--
1. Nasal infections which cause infectious discharge dripping again and again in throat and causing sore throat.
2. It could be because of infected tonsil ,,but as your doctor says that there is nothing wrong ie tonsils are not enlarged , so it can be ruled out.
3. Because of reflux of food contents in throat ie Laryngopharyngeal reflux.in such cases you might not be aware of reflux in throat (stomach contents getting reflux in throat) and which is causing recurrent infections ,it is more in night and even more if you snore.
Get an ENT consultation to get a proper antibiotic as you have severe pain at present.
For preventing reflux on long term basis you need medications for reflux and take these precautions--
Keep head end of bed elevated.
Avoid alcohol, Smoking
Do brisk walking daily
Go for walk after dinner
Avoid spicy food
Avoid late night coffee
