Frequently Vomiting After Meal. Catches Cold Frequently. Guide
Hi I have a four year old daughter.
The problem is ever since her early years she vomits on very frequent occassions after a meal. This is generally due to the cold and mild phlegm that she develops. we have seen many doctors. Where some say she has a mild tonsils inflation others say it is a gastro intestinal reflux. But the problem still persists. She vomits or is nauseated almost in every meal when even with a mild bout of cold. And this cold occurs in her every 15 days. Please guide
Based on the symptoms you have described, your child may have a reflux. Gastric movement is in opposite direction in this disease..Proper evaluation for gastro esophageal refux (radiological Like barium,if needed by the examining pediatrician) shall be done..try avoiding chocolate, caffeine, carbonated drinks, excessive fruit juices.. reduce milk consumption and try weight reduction (if there is an excess of weight for the age)..the recurrent respiratory infection component you are describing, may be precipitated by the aspiration of food particles into the respiratory tract during reflux....it should come down once you get properly treated for the reflux...your daughter may grow out of her illness in due course...
