hi I got my gall bladder removed a few years ago ,but i am now suffering with very bloated stomach ,pain down my side and alot of wind in my stomach.I do get relief when i have a bowel movement , but i could have two or three bowel movements a day which makes me believe since i have no gallbladder my food is not breaking down properely?
Gall bladder helps in digestion of fats. After gall bladder removal, fat digestion is affected.
It is therefore adviced to decrease fatty/oily foods after gall bladder removal.
You can take digestive enzyme preparation containing pepsin and fungal diastase 2-3 times a day after meals for relief from your symptoms. In addition, you should also take antacid like Omeprazole 20 mg once a day before meals along with Domperidone 10 mg.
You can take a probiotic preparation for some relief.
Also avoid spicy and oily foods.
Drink pure water only and eat food prepared in hygeinic conditions.
Also get your stool examined.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
