Gash On Ankle, Bruise, Pain During Movement. Normal? Treatment?
I injured my foot a week ago and there was a gash on my ankle and bruising. The gash is healing and the bruising is going away but every time I stand up from a sitting position or from bed I have excrutiating pain that goes away after a minute or so and then as long as I stay standing I am okay. Is this normal and how do I treat this? When should it go away?
If the healing is getting delayed, it needs special kind of treatment done under the observation of general surgeon with antibiotic coverage.

Gash On Ankle, Bruise, Pain During Movement. Normal? Treatment?
Hi, Thanks for consulting HealthcareMagic! Is this normal- excrutiating pain in wound a week after injury is never normal. When should it go away- It depends on how deep the wound is and coexisting conditions like diabetes, peripheral vascular disease etc. If the healing is getting delayed, it needs special kind of treatment done under the observation of general surgeon with antibiotic coverage.
