Get Cluster Of Bumps On Labia Every Month, Itchy. Herpes Negative. What Could This Be?

Hi Doctor, I get cluster of bumps on my labia at least every month or every other month before I start my period. I thought that it could be hormonal or part of PMS however I recently had a Hysterectomy and my ovaries were removed. These cluster of bumps look like pimples and when they are raised they are tender to touch and when the bumps go down it itches and ache a little. I ve been tested for herpes (blood and swab) & my results were negative. What could this be?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The presence of bumps on the labia just before your periods every month can be a part of PMS or due to allergy to the toiletries that you are using or may be related to shaving the area. Most of the times such bumps can be relieved by using steroid based antiseptic creams.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
