Getting Fibroid Tumor And Uterus Removed. Have Lumpy Breasts. Will Hysterectomy Help?
I'm getting a huge fibroid tumor & my uterus removed on May 27th. I accepted the uterus being removed because it's so inter-meshed with tumor, it's easier. But I'm wondering about my future mammograms. I've had them every year because I have lumpy breasts. Not a great concern since I was closely monitored for a while & the lumps aren't suspicious. But I've always had such dense breasts & have to be crushed so much--can it get easier with a hysterectomy? I always cry, take tylenol ahead of time, avoid caffeine & avoid my periods when booking--it's a nightmare.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M Forum. Uterus is a part of reproductive system , its removal don't play any role in the lumpy breast. Usually lumpy breast is normal texture so why worry. As you stated in your query every years you are getting Mammography so forget about it and live normal life. Still you feel any thing wrong please remain in contact with gynae. Good luck. Dr. HET
