Girl With Excessive Hair Growth On Stomach And Chest. Pus Filled Pimples. Treatment?
im a girl who is hairy...i get alot of hair on my stomach and chest! yuck! so i shave it, but i sometimes i will get bumps and pimples there and i would pop them and with puss...hair would entrapped and would come out. now i have nasty dark spots all over my chest and stomach. what do i do?! I want to go with my friends to spring beak but i cant wear a bathing suit because it is disgusting.
The dark spots are probably post inflamatory hyperpigmentation due to boils andbumps on chest and stomach after shaving
To treat the same you may do the following under a dermatologist prescription,
Sittings of TCA or glycolic peels alternating with microdermabrasion
Depigmenting creams like hydroquinone2% or kojic cream twice a day
Oral Vit C, E and betacarotene ( prevents free radical damage)
Since the spots are because of shaving , I suggest you:
To get in touch with an endocrinologist for hormonal work up and appropriate management
You may think of Permanent hair reduction with lasers if hormonal profile is normal
Hope this helps you
