Given Taxim Injection. Prescribed Ofloxacin Suspension. Baby Is Crying And Feeling Hungry After Taking This. Continue Medicine?

Dr given taxim injection to my 9 months baby for antibiotic for 4 days (morning and evening )and after my baby is fine but dr suggested ofloxacin suspension for next 5 days (morning and evening ) and i have given ofloxacin suspension only one days, my baby is so much crying and felling hungry after taking madicine in day and nignt. so will i continue or stop ?

Hi,

You should stop giving to the child ofloxacin, because it irritates the child, gives abdominal discomfort, and belly ache.

But you should consult the doctor in order to replace this medication with another one, which is lighter for the stomach.
