Glands Swollen And Having Low BP While Having Hashimtos Disease. How To Ease The Symptoms?
Hi I have Hashimtos disease. My Glands are swollen & BP 107/56 taken by a nurse whilst on night shift last night. My ears & head have bumps swollen FEELING LOW. I am waiting for delayed Armour thyroxin from post- my Doctor will not prescribe the med's here in Northamptonshire, England, as she not legally allowed, neither will she refer me to a consultant-as they want me to take Levi-thyroxin - even though I gained three stone in water/fat-weight, mild depression & all hormonal in-balances causing spots & erratic cycles. What shall I do in the mean time to ease the symptoms till my meds arrive in the post which could be a few more days yet?
Hello, I read carefully your concern. I can not understand why your treating physician insists to treat you with armour since it is not approved by FDA? I would strongly recommend to start levothyroxine ( with the dose recommended by an endocrinologist) and check the TSH level after 6 weeks of treatment to see if the dose i s appropriate. It is very effective in improving thyroid hormonal balance.
