Got Removed A Dry, Painful, Itchy Spot From The Top Of Outside Of Ear. Not Melanoma. What Could It Be?
I just called my dematologist. Last week he removed a dry, painful itchy spot from the top of the outside of my ear. It is not melanoma . He said it was something like cnh or chn. I can t remember. I do have an appointment next week to discuss but I wanted to look it up on line. I can t seem to find any info. Can you help me?
It must be Chondrodermatitis nodularis (Chn, I suppose) which is usually because of pressure over the cartilaginous part of helix because of lack of subcutaneous tissue in that region. Usually requires treatment by a doctor, excision and may need the excision of a part of underlying cartilage. Regards
