hi im 38 years of age im hiv pos but i hav been keeping fit for the last 4 years ive been goen to the gym 4to5 times aweeek but allthough i do feeel and look healty im not putting on as much muscle as peaple who are doen the same training as me .and in the night time i go to the toilet maybe 10 times i feel i need to go but i barly pee when i go to the toilet is it an overactive blder and what do i do tto help or stop this its a problem
Are you on ART? Some drugs or even HIV infection may be the reason that you have not developed muscles like others.
Regarding the sensation of urgency for urination, you approach your physician and present your problem. He/she will rule out urinary tract infection or Diabetes Mallitus which may be the causes for the urgency. If you have problem it can be corrected easily.
In the absence of these diseases, you have to evaluate your bladder function by a urologist and a neurologist.
Nowadays early ART is advisable for all HIV positive individuals.
