Hi..I found out I had Pcos a few years ago...I was put on clomid n later stop...I took metformin of my own n after about 2 months I stop since then I have not missed a single period and that has been more than 4 years now....My periods are very regular but I have hirsutism.. And its sooo horrible...I wonder if I'll every make kids because most women I come across with hirsutism couldn't make any..plz reply
PCOS is associated with increased difficulty conceiving but conception is possible.
The metformin that you were using would decrease the insulin resistance that is associated with this condition and is also associated with increased chance of conception.
You may want to consider using it.
The clomid would help with ovulation (release of 'eggs' from the ovary).
If you are trying to conceive, this can be restarted by your doctor.
If you experiencing difficulty conceiving using these methods appropriately then your doctor may suggest assisted reproduction such as IVF.
I hope this helps
