Had A Stroke, On Losartan, Crestor, Levothyroxyn And Oxybutnin. Recovering Well But Left Hand Not Fully Active

I am 86 yrs old, had a small stroke 9/2, am on Losartan, Crestor, iso sorb mono, levothyroxyn and oxybutnin. I can take chlorothiazide as needed. Ido not seem to retain water. Would be advisable to take chlorothiazide anyway, because of my recent stroke? My recovery has been very good, although I still have not fully regained control of my left arm - of course, I'm left handed! Thanks for your help.

Hi, chlorothiazide is a diuretic and should not be taken without necessary as this can also cause electrolyte imbalance. You can take this drug only if required as adviced by your doctor.
the recovery of stroke usually take time. You continue all the drugs mentioned and do regular physiotherapy. Monitor your BP and cholesterol levels.
Hope this helps you.
