Had Allergies To Corn Pollen, Ragweed And Dust Mites. What Would Cause Hive To Surface Below Eye?

What would cause a hive to surface right below one eye?? Nothing else seems to be affected. I've had pretty serious attacks the past couple of years where both eyes are so seriously affected that they swell. I've been diagnosed the past year with allergies to: dogs, corn pollen, ragweed, dust mites, and a chemical called thimerosal. I've tried to be cautious of what I'm coming in contact with and although, this attack isn't as bad as what it has been in the past, since I've tried being careful I'm wondering if there is something else I should be doing. It seems I am most often affected in August and December/January.

Allergist and Immunologist Dr. Sujoy Khan's  Response
Hello,

Depending on where you live, ragweed allergy usually gets worse In August/Spetember and occasionally another peak in Jan/Feb
This would be consistent with symptoms of ragweed allergy, although house dust mites are present throughout the year (peaks during humid times) and can cause rhinoconjunctivitis.
Hives can occur spontaneously, and does not have related to allergies that you may have.
Try an antihistamine tablet like Levocetirizine 5mg or Caladryl lotion (apply on skin) and see if that helps.

Best Wishes.
