Had Back Surgery, Pain Is Getting Worse Inspite Of Medicines. What Is The Most Safe Medicine?

I've had back surgery a little over a week ago. The last two days my pain is getting worse. My l 3 was crushed and I had fusion, pins and a plate put in. I'm taking oxycodone 5mg, 3 every 3 hrs plus diazepam 1 every 6 hrs. The pain constant. The Dr says to either go to the er or see him at 8:30 tomorrow. What is the most med I can take safely? I am 54 and weigh 58 lbs. I really don't want to go to the er tonight. What can I do to get me to the morning?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome at HCM.

The paracetamol is the safest medicine in this aspect. You may have it.But it is comparatively less effective then tramadol or others in severe pain.

With best wishes.
