Had Blood Drawn, Tried Different Veins, Shock Like Sensation. Is This Soreness Or Something Serious?
Yesterday I had blood drawn, and on the first try the doctor went in the nerve and I felt a slight jolt in the arm, he said sorry and no blood was coming out so he tried the other vein and it went fine. In the original spot of the vein there is still a slight spot of where the needle was put, and my whole arm is sore and when i straighten it out I feel the shock feeling and it runs down my arm, mainly to my thumb. Is this just soreness or something more?
Hi i think it is only soreness due to needle irritating the nerve. It is only hypersensitivity reaction where the area suppled by nerve may feel shock like sensation by little movement.it will sibside by itself within course of time
