Had Bump In Pubic Hair, Started To Bleed. It Doesn't Itch But Pains. What Could Be The Cause?
I recently notice a single bump in my pubic hair and its not big but not small and then it started to bleed and it was like a lump of blood just there like a pimple, and it doesn't itch but I feel pain when I pressed up against it,, I haven't shaved in years but I'm wondering is because of that or the unprotected sex me and girlfriend is having and where both clean, please help
You seem to have developed folliculitis or a boil in that area. This area is prone to infections because it facilitates the growth of bacteria because of combination of factors like lack of aeration, moisture, sweat, friction, minor trauma etc.
However any sexually transmitted infections have to be ruled out.
Till then you may apply a local antibiotic cream twice a day. An oral analgesic for pain. Keep the area dry and maintain proper hygiene. Wear cotton under garments Avoid sexual exposure.
Hope this helps you.
