Had Chlamydia, Soreness In Neck And Groin Area, Diarrhea, Sore Throat, Head Cold, Excessive Sleep. What Does This Mean?

Ok. I had chylmdia about a 2 weeks ago. Felt better. My neck is sore and my groin area. I have a chill here and there. It honestly feels like a head cold. But what has me worried is my groin. The past 2 days I have on and off diarrhea. A little bit of a sore throat. Both women I slept with over a month ago where tested came back negative on HIV. My problem is I keep reading about it and its worrying me real bad... I'm usually real active and I just feel sleepy. Is this something to worry about or is it maybe just a cold. Like I said my groin is kinda sore. Not always noticeable , and I've nothing to pull it...

should I be worried about hiv?

Hello,

Thanks for posting,

First of all I do not think you should be worried about HIV now as you might not present with symptoms until after a very long time (at least after a period of sero-conversion which is about 3 months-still you will not present with symptoms if infection has only been 3 months ago). You are obviously suffering from an infection which could be from your digestive tract. When it comes to digestive tract infections, there are a wide range of bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa, parasites etc that can cause similar symptoms. If any of these germs are not treated with their respective antibiotics, be rest assured that your diarrhea might be getting worst.
I suggest you get examined, do some laboratory tests including CBC, stool exams, Widal test, CRP, ESR, HIV serology, throat swap etc which will be able to determine the cause so that appropriate treatment can be provided.

Hope this helps
