Hi. Thanks for asking in Healthcare Magic.
Copper T is generally inserted during on soon after menstruation. Spotting and increase in flow is common and experienced by 2 to 10% of women after insertion of copper T. It is felt as a foreign body by the uterus and it increases the uterine contraction and that is the reason for your pain and bleeding.
The acceptance rate of copper T in women varies and so do not worry. Feel for the thread to be sure that it is in place. Paracetamol may help but if pain is very severe and unbearable and if bleeding is heavy, or if the thread is not in place, then you should consult your gynecologist. X-Ray or ultrasound will help to rule out complications like perforation or expulsion.
I hope this is useful to you.
