Had Diarrhea. When That Stopped, Was Passing Blood. Followed By Regular Movement. Feel Gastric In Stomach. Suggestions?
On Sunday morning, I woke up and had diarrehia. When this stopped then I was passing only blood, bright red and there looked like there was clear tissue in it. This happened about 4 times in a row. The next morning I had a small regular bowel movement. My lower abdomen is still really sore and I have a lot of gas, but no more bleeding.
Hi and thanks for the query, Its important to know exactly the origin of the blood. Before considering the possible source of this blood it would e important to know if this is the first time you are experiencing an incident as such or not? How was the blood? was it bright red or dark bloody stools? Any past history of gastritis or peptic ulcer disease? these parameters are important to determine whether this was an upper gastrointestinal tract bleeding or a lower gastrointestinal tract bleeding. Acute infectious diarrhea, especially when caused by E. coli could be bloody. Local causes like hemorroids could also cause bleeding. I strongly suggest you consult an internist for a proper clinical review. thanks and best regards, Luchuo, MD.
