Hi, I had an extremely sore throat and earache on the left side last week. It hurt to swallow my own saliva . I visited the ent who scoped and said she saw a small white patch on my tonsil . I m taking 875 mg amoxicillin for ten days and then I see her again. If the spot is not gone she said she would do a biopsy. Needless to say I m very scared it could be tonsil cancer. I am a smoker. I have no lumps in my neck but do feel like there is something caught in my throat on that side. She said for now we are treating it as an infection but I m concerned she knows something and didnt tell me. I m thinking the worst and VERY stressed over this. Any information would be helpful!
