Hi Dear
Your history is typical of a person who suffered epileptic attacks and went for barin surgery resulting into post neuro surgical complications .Congrats that you have recovered to great extent
Don not get confused ,the symptoms are because of epileptic phenamena and abnormal electrical discharge post surgery .It is common to occour .
As regards drug See a Neuro Surgen or Neurologist ;Get an EEG of Barin even if it is normal as more than 40 to 60 % EEG are Discuss with the expert neurologist or neurosurgen it is post surgical epileptic as appears from history .First drug mentioned by you I prefer for my patient .But in your case it seems you may need combination two drugs which your doctor will decide
