Hi ! From your history, it seems that you had a fissure in ano in which you get pain while passing stool possibly associated with bleeding. It is good that you have been relieved with conservative treatment. Usually the condition appears due to hard stool being passed which creates an ulcer in the anal canal, and this gives rise to pain and bleeding which may be severe enough to disrupt your routine and may cause you difficulty in sitting on the chair. Therefore, you have to take care not to get constipated. For this you should include a lot of roughage in your diet along with a lot of liquids.Have a regular daily morning walk and other active exercises. If the pain starts again, you may go for a sitz bath ( sitting on a tub filled with luke warm water ) for five minutes and three times a day. This will prevent the recurrence in your case. However, if the problem recurs again and again, you should go for an appointment with a surgeon, who after examining you can suggest you further management of your problem. wishing you an early recovery.
