Had Hysterectomy And Transitional Carcinoma Of Fallopian Tube. Had Complications, Bowel Movements Through Vagina And Bed Bound. Cure?
My mother, 84, had a hysterectomy and dx with stage II transitional carcinoma of the Fallopian tube. Had many complications and dc home one week ago. is now having bowel movements through the vagina. she is bed bound and is presently "stable" however just now beginning to eat and process food intake. she will not be having chemo and wants to remain at home. what should we do?
Hi dear, Bowel movement through vaginal route after hysterectomy indicates that a connection as developed between bowel and vagina, most probably during operation, whic is not normal. As she is 84 years, i really cant say whether she can withstand a second surgery for the closure of this tract, wich will definately improve her present condition. In my view, go back to her operating doctor wo will be able to tell you te best option. All the best
