Had Hysterectomy Of One Ovary. Have Large Cyst In Ovary. Painful. Surgery Needed?

I had a hysterectomy in September and the doctor left one ovary because I am only 27 years old. While recently during a CT scan of my stomach, pelvis, and lungs they found a large cyst on the one ovary I have left. Can this be dangerous to my health? It is causing me a lot of pain will they need to do surgery? Please help me with this medical problem I have.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H. C. M Forum.
Since your age is just 27 years and in my view , except pain there in no any other complaint.
Poly Cystic ovarian syndrome ( P C O D ) is a most common disease in female .
If there are no other any complaint except pain, than consult one more physician / surgeon and get their opinion ( 2nd opinion).
Level of estrogen, F S H, L H , testosterone hormones will matter.
Size of ovarian follicles are one more reason for assessment of any treatment.
Before surgery please get conservative treatment , you will get benefit.
Good luck.
