Had Itching. Used Thrush Cream. Used Shower Gel. Worth Worrying?
I started to itch about 3 days ago and thought it could be thrush as I hve had it before so I started using my thrush cream, today my right labia has swollen up like a ballon what should I do? I can't get a doctors appointment today and I am due to come on my period tomorrow so don't really want to go see a doctor when I will be on my period.. I take the pill and i wash with a shower jell maybe this is the cause but I have tried thrush cream and it seems to be getting worse?
There are several possibilities like vaginal yeast infection, using chemical bath products/ vaginal douching/ tampons/ soap/ detergent, inserting foreign objects, urinary infection etc.
You need to consult with gynecologist for pelvic examination & relevant investigation like vaginal swab test, routine urine examination, blood sugar etc. Proper antibiotic treatment and vaginal suppository can alleviate your symptoms.
Wear clean & cotton loose fitting underwear, avoid all chemical stuffs and maintain genital hygiene properly. All the best.
