Had Protected Sex. Delayed Periods. Feeling Nauseous. Going Through Stress. Am I Pregnant?
Me and my boyfriend had sex for the first time about two and a half weeks ago. A little more than a week later we had sex again, right around the time I thought my period should start. So now I think I'm a little more than a week late. I'm not sure if I'm pregnant because we used a condom both times and it didn't break. I've also been EXTREMELY stressed because of family issues that have been going on for a few weeks now and I started school two days ago. I've been having cramps for a few days now when normally I only have them the day before my period starts and the first two days of my period. Plus, I'm nauseous (and I hardly ever get nauseous). I've been doing some research but I still don't know if I should be worried that I'm pregnant. I've heard that your menstrual cycle can change after having sex for the first time but I haven't found any real answers to this. I don't know if I'm nauseous because I've literally worried myself sick or what. I just want to know if me being pregnant is a real possibly before I go buy a pregnancy test because I don't have much money and it would be difficult to find the privacy to take it.
Hello, Though you had used condom during intercourse both the times pregnancy cant be ruled out but since you have your experience tells you that you get cramps before you menstruate you can wait for 2 days if the menses start but if it doesnt you must check the pregnancy. You can use a Urine Pregnancy Test kit which is available in medical stores. Its simple and cheap. You can test in the washroom and interpret the result as per the instruction which are given on the cover of it. It comes positive as early as 7 days of pregnancy. The stress can be a reason for delayed menses apart from pregnancy. The nausea and cramps can be because of some food poisoning or acidity. If urine pregnancy test is negative you can relax and if the cramps and pain is persistent seek a medical opinion. Hope your query is answered. Feel free to ask if anymore queries. Take care. Regards.
If semen comes into contact with your vagina, there might be chances of pregnancy. If you are sure that his semen does not come into contact, then there are no chances of pregnancy.
Stress itself may delay the menses as well as nausea is also possible in stress . Cramps you have might be suggestive of impending menses. So you may wait for some more days .
If still you do not have menses, go for pregnancy test to confirm.
Thanks.
