Had Protected Sex, Late Periods, Negative Pregnancy Test
Hi I was just wondering I got my period last month and I had sex but we used a condom my period is 16 days late and I took a pregnancy test yesterday but it was negative, I have been excercising and dieting would that be a result of the late period I have never really missed my period before but it sometimes is 10 days late.
hiii, Welcome to HCM. Pregnancy is only possible if unprotected sex is done around ovulation time in regular period. You did sex with using condom and you get period 16 days late with negative pregnancy test. So possibility of pregnancy is almost nil. There are several reasons for delayed period like psychological upset, altered eating habit,wt loss or gain, hormonal imbalance, thyroid disorder, excessive exercise, ovarian cyst etc. So consult with your doctor and need some investigations to evaluate underlying pathology including hormonal study. Avoid stress by regular deep breathing, take healthy diet and proper sleep. Be well.
