Had Sexual Encounter, Paranoid, Swollen Neck Glands, Stressed Out. Tested For HIV. Should I Worry Much?
Had a risky encounter in July with another male, I'm sure the condom stayed intact but being my first time I was worried I was tested for HIV at my local GUM clinic after 32 days. That was 5 weeks ago and no news is good news. I am paranoid about waiting 3 months for a final test. I had swollon necks glands for a while, antibiotics seemed to sort this out but I can't stop prodding them and this won't go away. Otherwise I have felt good in myself expect extremely stressed about the situation.Would my test at 32 days been a good indicator. Thanks in advance.

hi hiv test after 32 days is not a good indicator for hiv.it takes atleast 90 days which is the incubation period by elisa test to become good indicator ,but u can go for RNA-PCR to know hiv status as early as 72 hours after ur consult.only swollen neck glands cannot be indicator for hiv.instead of thinking too much go for rna pcr
