Had Short, Light Period Which Came Early. Normally Have Heavy Flow. Should I Be Concerned?

hello,

So I'm supposed to start my period in 2 more days but i started today which is Nov. 23 and my period date is on the 25. So started out with barley anything but it was a light brown and then couple hours went by then went to a reddish brown and now it goes from that to a to a little bit later red. I have had issues like this the last 2 times and my periods since then have been only lasting 2-3 days with extremely light to compared of what i normally have which is a heavy flow and my period lasting a full 7 days. I'm concerned please let me know asap.
thanks

Hi there,
Thank you for posting your question. I will do my best to help you
I have tried to understand your query to my best.
With respect to your query, I would like to opine the below:

- Little variation in Period dates is not abnormal
- However, change in color is also not abnormal
-Passing blood clots during menstruation can be normal.
-The amount, length and frequency of menstrual bleeding vary from woman to woman
- However, If your periods seem heavier than usual — for instance, soaking through one pad or tampon every hour for several hours, passing large blood clots, or passing many smaller blood clots in a short time — check with your Gynecologist

-Diagnostics like Thyroid profile may also be required .

I hope that I have answered your questions fully and been of some help. If you have anymore questions please contact me again anytime
Regards,
Dr.Sushma
