Had Strangulated Bowel, Removed With Illeocecal Valve. Taking Loperamide. Worried About Long Term Prognosis?

7 weeks ago I had a strangulated bowel and had 130cm removed along with illeocecal valve, left hospital without any information etc and have been struggling! Settling down a little now but still worried about going too far from loo etc! Taking loperamide when necessary but as I travel a lot am worried about long term prognosis . Can you help me?

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
You should not go out of hospital without taking advice. Get done one USG abdomen and better to consult the treated doctor for the advice as only he can know what happened during surgery, the parts removed, investigations and any diagnosed problem. Have adequate regular sleep, plenty of fluids, nutritious fibre diet with required calorie and regular outdoor exercises for your wellbeing. Hope I answered your question.
