Had Unprotected Sex Followed By Intake Of Plan B Pill. Itchy Vagina And Burning Sensation With Yeast Infection Prior To Due Periods. Concerning?
Hi my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex the first of June I had finished my period for days prior to that on the 28th of may ( the first day of my last period started the 23rd and I have a 29 day cycle) He did not ejaculate but I took Plan B contraceptive the same evening Just to be safe. Six days later I had some Brown Discharge that lasted 3 days and disappeared and now approximately 6 days before My expected period I have a yeast infection it's itchy and burning down there my question is why do I have a yeast infection and could I be pregnant?
Welcome to HCM. There is no chances of pregnancy as you said the day of sex because there is no ovulation at that time.Irregular bleeding could be due to contraceptive. Yeast infection usually occurs due to improper hygiene after sex and scratching after it.Take care for proper hygiene.use medicated soap. Keep that area proper dry and use local anti fungal cream.Oral flucanazole-150mg. will be helpful.Always go for safe, protected sex. Consult your ob/gynecologist for guidance and proper medical management.
