Had Unprotected Sex, Having Reddish Brown Discharge With Slight Cramps, Lower Back Pain, HPT Negative. Reason?
Hi, my name is,Hanivah. I have a problem hopefully u will help me out. I had my periods on 15th last month which lasted for about a week. and on the 22nd i had unprotected sex with my husband. as from 23rd I had reddish brown discharge with slightcramps and lower back pain . on saturday 28th i had unprotected sex again. the discharge is over but I still have slight cramps. Yesterday I decided to take a pregnancy test but it came out negative. what could be the problem and should i be alarmed?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The reddish brown discharge starting 10 days after your periods is not likely to be related to pregnancy. This is more likely to be due to a vaginal infection, cervicitis or a hormonal imbalance. A direct examination of the area is an integral part of diagnosis.
