Hand Injury. Tenderness, Pain When Lifting Weights, Hurts To Bend
I hit the side of my left hand about a month ago while horsing around with my little brother. It's tender to to move at times. Other times it feels fine. When lifting weights it at first hurts but then seems to loosen up and feel better but when playing basketball if its hit like it usually is then it will continue to hurt to bend and move from then and through the next day.
You did not mention your age. it sounds like you may have sustained a hairline fracture which is still healing hence the intermittent pain. I would suggest getting a xray to see if there is new bone growth over the area of pain. if noted then you will confirm the fracture in which case you will need to allow for maximum healing to take place and refrain from activity that creates pain on movement.
thank
you
