I was diagnosed one year ago by a dermatogist with hair loss I have hard crusty scabs on my scalp and can't, seem to get them to soften up I take pacamii if I scratch the scabs my hair where the scabs are the hair comes out with it I have bald patches will hair ever grow back the itching is so sever that when intake a shower just the water pouring on my head my whole body shakes at the thought of the source being sacifed with the water coming the itch to where it is satisfied and don.'t itch as bad what type of shampoo is needed and what else should my dermatogist be doing that's she not this is my second dermatogist I got a seconded opinion
Hi crusty scabs on the scalp can be pityriasis amantanceae or due to scalp folliculities or due to tinea capitis with secondary bacterial infection.first take hair clipping to rule out tinea infection.use broad spectrum antibiotic twice daily .use betadine ad shampoo alternate daily and application of t bact ointment over the lesions after saline compressors can cure it.if fungal infection is confirmed take flucanazole weekly once for 6-8 weeks
