Hard Kick In Testicles While Playing. No Pain Or Swelling. Any Symptoms To Check Whether This Is Serious Injury?
I am a sports trainer and had a player kicked very hard in the tesicles tonight. I have heard that this can be alot more serious than most people assume when it is a really hard kick. The player seems fine now but I am concerned that is may end up worse and I have tried to convince him to get it checked but he wont. Are there symptoms I can watch for if it is indeed serious?
Testiies are prone to injuries because of the location and the relative soft area as compared to the other body organs.
Most of the time the injury presents with swelling ( collection of the blood or fluid in the sac) , pain, discoloration and tenderness to palpation.
These are the signs which need to looked for if the serious injury is suspected, any swelling along with pain and tenderness in the testicular area will need investigation/checking by a doctor.
Thanks.
