Hard Lump Under Incision Post Arthroscopic Surgery, Pains On Putting Pressure. Alarming?
I just completed an arthroscopic surgery on my right knee for a torn meniscus , and now it seems like there is a hard lump under the top right incision. It s the most painful part of the knee right now and hurts every time I apply pressure or simply bend my knee back, thus stretching the skin. The surgery took place 1 and a half weeks ago and I m worried that it s not just swelling.
You are ten days post surgery for your right knee meniscus surgery, Having some pain or swelling at site of skin incision is understood and routine but if you feel you have a lump below the skin which is painful, then you should see your surgeon once for a look especially if it is red/ warm
I hope you get well soon, you can get back to me if you have more questions
Regards
Dr Merchant
