Has Low Sexual Interest. Test Showed Higher Cholesterol And Low Testosterone. Suggest?
Hi Doctor,
I want to consult a urologist. My husband do not have interest in sex we consult a doctor. He ask for the LIPID PROFILE, HB A1c, S TESTOSTERONE andand THYROID PROFILE in which
Total CHOLESTEROL was: 229.28 mg/dl --> high
HB A1c: 4.52 --> normal
TESTOSTERONE: 6.62 ng/ml --> low
THYROID FT3-3.60 pg/ml, FT4 0.88ng/dl, TSH 1.85 ulU/ml--> ok.
I understand that cholesterol is high but is really TESTOSTERONE is low as per my understanding its fine.

Total cholesterol level is 160 - 220 mg/dL.( according to few study while others say that upper limit is 250 mg).
Any how in your husband case cholesterol level is high ,( if L D L high then it is dangerous or not good for sexual activities).
Testosterone level is also low ,but very low ( normal 9.36-37.10 nmol/L).
Sexual activities of a person depends upon many factors as ,
Age,
habitual performer or not.
Please mention the age of your husband as age advance sexual activities diminishes.
Consultation with a psychiatrist may help.
