HI I am Allison, 41, 170cm, 91kg. I have been diagnosed with Addison's Disease a year and half ago. Symptoms started 6 years ago, approaching Doctors complaining of fluid retention and bloating. Oestrogen Dominance was diagnosed from blood tests. Nothing was prescribed, just go away and live with it, attitude? Hunted for somebody to help me, found an alternative doctor who prescribed biodentical progesterone to combat the oestrogen. Felt like this had given me normality back in my life? Until we went on a family holiday to Fiji, on the second day of our trip I felt horrible, fatigued, bedridden, back ache, dizzy. totally unwell.. Managed to get home, went to my alternative Doctor had some blood work done on my thyroid, came in underactive. And this is were my adrenal problems all started? after a month on thyroid replacement felt awful again.. Back to the Doctor and severe Adrenal fatigue was diagnosed, by 24hr urine cortisol test. I am now currently on 30-40 mg Hydrocortisone, and 50 mcg fludrocortisone. plus 100mcg Thyroxine.. But my troubles are at the moment is when my cortisol levels drop off, even though I split my doses of hydrocortisone throughout a day.. I feel sooo oestrogen dominant. I do realise our bodies steal other hormones such as progesterone for cortisol and I figure that this is what is happening.. Saddest part about it is I cannot use Biodentical Progesterone anymore as it lowers my cortisol and adolsterone? so apart from taking large doses of hydrocortisone how do I battle the oestrogen imbalance? hope u have a suggestion
