Have IBS, Discomfort Near Breast, Acid Reflux ,lump On Rib. Help?

I have IBS and recently I have had discomfort in my left rib under my breast. There is a small pouch or lump on my rib now. I went to the ER and x-ray showed gas in my chest and I was diagnosed with acid reflux . Can IBS or Acid Reflux cause a dry cough, bloating of the stomach and a lump on my rib? I have air indigestion at night and night sweats too. Its not a burning like heartburn its burping air.

Hello,

The reflux disease is known as "GERD" in short
here are the symptoms associated with it
1)heart burn.
2)dry cough.
3)asthma symptoms.
4)trouble swallowing.
5) sour reflux coming up to mouth.
6) burping/bloating.

a) IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME and (b) INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASES are different set of disease with some what similar symptoms.
i)BUT With the IBS - the first one in list it just occurs in stressed out condition with bowel irritation with any thing, and its not associated with any thing that can give lump in the ribs,
ii)In inflammatory bowel diseases like crohn's disease / ulcerative colitis may lead to a cancer in a very long and that can be some what associated with.

But have an IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME AND ITS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH LUMP IN RIBS,

ADVICE:
I still having more concern ask your physician to get the lump checked by Ultrasound and biopsy later on.
