Hello,
You should not stop exercise. It is always advisable to continue. Though you do not have a family history, owing to the changing life style, cardiovascular diseases have become the leading cause of death among women today, unlike as was earlier thought. So, take cholesterol lowering diet, lose weight and consult your doctor regarding starting statins to lower cholesterol as you are only 41. Wish you good health.
