Have MRSA In Nose, Airlip, Cleft Palate, Mastoids In Ear. Blowing Up Fleshy Lumps, Sore Nose. Scared
I have been diagnosed with mrsa in the nose,i have an airlip and cleft palate,ive had a lot of ops and recently had mastoids in right ear,but I am now blowing up fleshy lumps and my nose is really sore,when I go into hospital im on cream for nose and hibi scrub for a week and im still isolated from the main ward,im due to go into derriford for spinal op and im getting scared of this infection.
Hello, You can get done culture and sensitivity for the infection , if it came out to be MRSA then you can see the culture and sensitivity report and discuss with your doctor regarding the need for and the category of antibiotic that can be taken. You also can use normal saline nasal sprays which are non medicate and are for nasal wash. In addition you can discuss with your doctor for the use of local cream in nose like Mupirocin. Local treatment in nose is more beneficial in such infections than using oral drugs , so that the required medicine act directly. And most importantly --- AVOID NOSE PICKING
