Hello,
welcome to Healthcare Magic.

You should not hide things from each other. It is not helpful.

Although disclosure may hurt for short duration, but in long term your friend will be more comfortable in sharing his stress with you. This ventilation of stress will help him and reduce denial.

Wish you good health and all the best.

Regards,
Dr Ashish Kumar Mittal
