hi, I recently had a bureau that fell on my knees, shins, toes actually back in sept., im just asking about my knee right now. I do have Osgood shlatter disease, but im in my 40s, I just had a cort. inj. but my knee is still in pain. could it be the Osgood shl. that is causing me pain? my mri was neg. for tears. it hurts in the front, and on the inner sd. its hard to straighten my leg comp. to.
Hi! Osgood Shlatter disease occurs usually in the very young to adolescent age group and this is a self limiting disease. So I will not consider it to be Osgood Shlatter diseae. Rather it possibly is a blunt injury which has caused a chronic inflammation of the patella or the capsule which is causing you the pain. I would suggest you to get yourself reviewed by an orthopaedic surgeon, who may also advise you for a long term low dose anti inflammatory drug and some kind of regular physiotherapy for your knee. Wishing you an early recovery.
