Have PCOD. Delay In Period. Prescribed Medication For Growth Of Eggs. On Regestrone. Is That Sufficient?

hai i am f 22 married i have delay in my periods for 2 months as i meet doctor she said i have PCOD and advised to take tablets for the growth of eggs,and also she given sandoz-regestrone 5 MG and said to use for five days i will complete five days by today but i didn't get period i am getting fear about my health please advice me

Hi,
You will see withdrawal bleeding 3-7 days after completion of the treatment with hormones. So, you should wait for a few more days. PCOD can be easily managed by proper diet, regular exercise, balanced weight and medical treatment. After a complete evaluation through complete hormonal profile, glucose tolerance test, trans-vaginal sonogram etc. appropriate treatment should be given. If you are trying to conceive, ovulation induction may be used, otherwise combination pills along with Metformin are the usual treatment of choice. Hope this helps.
