Have PCOD, Taking Duphaston And Glucophage. Have Delayed Periods, HPT Negative. Cause?

Hi! Iam 33 yrs old. I have PCOD. I am taking Duphaston and glucophage XR 750. I was expecting my periods on 21st sept and I have still not got my periods. I did home pregnancy test on 26th which was negative. I am worried what can be reason for delay in my periods.I am taking Duphaston for more than 8 months now and it has never happened that i missed my periods. Please advice. Thanks.

Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since you are a patient of PCOD and taking treatment for it glucophase XR 750 mg .This is a good drug for PCOD. Duphaston ( dyderogeterone ) is prescribed for miscarriage & threatened abortion and this is a hormonal treatment .
Your main query is delaying period .
So this may be due to ,
1 Pregnancy so get in home pregnancy test once again as at least 7 days delay is necessary.
2 due to hormonal imbalance due to pcod , so get in blood for estrogen , androgen level .
3 PCOD itself may be the reason of delay in period ,because irregular bleeding, dysfunctional uterine bleeding , amenorrhea are the characteristic features of PCOD, so once again get in ultrasound of both ovaries.
Gynecologist consultation will be helpful.
