General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

All your symptoms match that of a urinary tract infection (UTI) and the few reasons for treatment failure are:
-Inadequate dose of antibiotics (smaller dose than should be given)
-Inadequate duration of antibiotic coverage (too short a duration)
-Inappropriate antibiotic use (the antibiotic used is ineffective in your case)

To address the last of the above given reasons, you will have to conduct a urine culture examination, which will provide information on the infection-causing organism, and also a list of antibiotics which will be tested against your urine for a response. This will provide information on the most suitable and effective antibiotic, which can then be used to treat you. This will ensure effective and rapid clearing of the infection. Please request for the investigation 'urine culture and sensitivity examination' for the same.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.

Best wishes
