Have A VATS Operation For Pneumothorax, Random Chest Sensations, Scarring Of Tissue, Have Twitching. Reason?
Hi. I have a VATS operation two months back for pneumothorax (right lung). I have been discharged and have no more follow-ups with my doctor. My doctor told me its 'normal' to experience short random sensation on my right chest due to scarring of tissue. I have experienced some rare occurrence of twitching on my right side. However, i have been experienced this on the left side as well recently. Very short random twitch that goes off in about 2 seconds. Is this a call for a concern?
There does`nt seem to be any cause for concern. Your doctor has rightly told you that you may have some odd sensation because of the scar tissue which will pass of with time. The occasional twitch is also a normal phenomenon which most of us experience from time to time.
